Role summary

Equity Bank is seeking an Enterprise Data Analyst to join their IT Operations department. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the bank's business intelligence systems and data services. The analyst will ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility for reporting, analytics, and machine learning. Key duties include acquiring and analyzing data from multiple sources, identifying trends, implementing data governance standards, and developing reports and dashboards. The position requires collaboration with various departments to meet data needs and provide clear, concise data presentations. The role also involves streamlining processes, monitoring solutions, and providing operational support.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the development, implementation, enhancement, growth, and support of the banks business intelligence systems and data services. This individual will ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility for various data-driven purposes, such as reporting, analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence. This position will collaborate with different departments to meet data reporting, dashboard and analytics needs and overall supporting data objectives.
Responsibilities And Expectations
Key Responsibilities

  • Support large data/analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data.
  • Acquire data from multiple data sources to perform analysis.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data to identify business insights and answer questions.
  • Implement best practices and standards for data governance, security, and privacy.
  • Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner providing audience insights and education.
  • Collaborate with partners to provide a clear explanation and holistic view of the data, using visualization and reporting tools.
  • Develop, administer, maintain, and support reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Streamline and automate processes to ensure data lineage, consistency, integrity, and transparency.
  • Measure and monitor solutions and apply appropriate adjustments for optimal efficiency.
  • Perform operational support and mentor potential end users.
  • Deliver and support multiple simultaneous data and reporting projects.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the data analytics field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements
Required Skills & Education

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Experienced in business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting
  • Effective time management, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Experience with extracting, collecting, organizing, transforming complex data sets
  • Experience working with internal customers on report requirements and development
  • Experience in data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles and practices
  • Experience in business intelligence tools such as MS PowerBI, Tableau, IBM Cognos or similar tools
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • Experience with Fiserv banking applications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree
