Data Analyst - Intern
Role summary
This is a temporary, fixed-term Data Analyst internship opportunity focused on professional development. The intern will support business unit objectives by identifying, defining, and visualizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational health and throughput. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams to extract meaningful metrics, building reporting views and dashboards for trend analysis, and contributing to KPI standardization. The role also involves supporting the design and deployment of automated dashboards using AWS QuickSight, including data transformation, dashboard creation, and scheduling. The intern will own the workflow from data sourcing to delivery, ensuring solution sustainability.
Role Overview:
A temporary, fixed-term professional development opportunity within our organization. This internship provides hands-on experience while supporting business unit objectives. This is a temporary position with a predetermined end date. Weekly hours, total duration, business unit assignment, and specific responsibilities will be detailed in the Offer Letter.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support Etactics' teams in identifying, defining, and visualizing key performance indicators that measure operational health and throughput. This includes collaborating with team leads to surface meaningful metrics from existing data sources, building lightweight reporting views or dashboards that give the Production team consistent visibility into trends and anomalies, and contributing to the standardization of KPI definitions across the department. Work product will feed into existing reporting rhythms and may inform executive-level operational summaries.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Support the design and deployment of automated dashboard via AWS QuickSight. Responsibilities include connecting and transforming relevant EDI, OS, and payment processing data into curated datasets, building and maintaining QuickSight dashboards, configuring automated delivery schedules and distribution lists, and establishing data refresh cadences that ensure accuracy at time of send. The intern will own the full workflow from data sourcing through delivery, documenting the architecture and building handoff materials so the solution is sustainable beyond the internship term.
