Role summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to spearhead Generative AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, proficiency in Python or R, and hands-on experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Responsibilities include mentoring junior team members, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring best practices in model validation and performance monitoring. Experience with large datasets, data processing tools (SQL, Spark), and model deployment is crucial. While Generative AI experience is preferred, a strong foundation in ML and statistical modeling is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning and advanced analytics solutions.
- Drive end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to production deployment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Build and optimize predictive models, recommendation systems, and forecasting solutions.
- Guide and mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
- Ensure best practices in data science, model validation, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in AI/ML and data science.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and data processing tools (SQL, Spark, etc.).
- Proven experience in deploying ML models into production environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Experience in stakeholder management and project leadership.
Good to Have
