This product-minded role focuses on building and deploying AI-powered systems directly into Savvy’s advisor platform to automate complex workflows and enhance business operations. The engineer will work across the full product development lifecycle, from identifying AI opportunities to shipping and iterating on features. Key responsibilities include developing AI-enabled applications like copilots and agents, integrating AI tools into the development workflow, and collaborating cross-functionally. Experience in early-stage startups and customer-feedback driven product teams is highly valued. The tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Next.js, and AWS.

We are looking for a
Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI (Senior SWE II)
with roughly
5–8 years of experience
to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a
product-minded builder who deeply integrates AI tools into their workflow
and can operate with speed and autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

You will help build and deploy
AI-powered systems directly into Savvy’s advisor platform
, automating complex workflows and enabling financial advisors to run their businesses more effectively. This role sits at the
core of Savvy’s product and growth flywheel
, building practical AI solutions that free advisors from time-consuming operational work so they can focus on serving clients and growing their business.

What will you be doing?

- Build production AI features embedded in Savvy’s platform
Design and ship AI-powered capabilities for financial advisors and internal operations teams, including copilots, specialized agents, workflow automations, summarization systems, and intelligent task routing.
- Develop intelligent agents to automate complex advisor workflows
For example, build systems that automatically prepare client meeting materials by pulling context from across Savvy’s platform, generating talking points, creating meeting decks, capturing meeting notes, and converting follow-ups into tasks.
- Work across the full product development lifecycle
Identify opportunities where AI can meaningfully improve advisor workflows, design solutions, implement systems, ship quickly to production, and iterate based on real usage and feedback.
- Operate close to real users and customer feedback
Collaborate directly with financial advisors who actively use the product and provide feedback through Slack and other channels, enabling rapid iteration and continuous improvement of the platform.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver impactful systems
Work closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to define scope, navigate ambiguity, and deliver high-impact solutions in a fast-growing, high-velocity startup environment.
- Build in a high-ownership environment
Engineers operate with significant autonomy and are expected to connect their work directly to business outcomes, helping Savvy scale its advisor platform and accelerate growth.

Seniority:

  • 5 -​ 8 years of experience applied AI software engineering,​ with a track record of building,​ shipping,​ and iterating on production-​grade AI features or products end-​to-​end in real-​world environments.​

Work experience:

  • Experience building and shipping products at an early-​stage startup (Seed–Series B) where engineers owned features end-​to-​end and operated in ambiguous,​ fast-​moving environments.​
  • Experience navigating complex product environments with multiple systems or product lines (e.​g.​,​ multi-​product B2B SaaS or fintech platforms).​
  • Exposure to both startup execution and larger-​scale engineering environments (ex:​ Big Tech → startup builder or multiple startup stages).​
  • Experience working in customer-​feedback driven product teams where engineers iterate quickly based on real user input.​



Education:

Technical Degree.​

- Demonstrated ability to
ship production software tied to real business outcomes
(not just technical implementations).​
- Deeply integrates modern AI tools into daily development workflow (e.​g.​,​ Claude,​ Cursor,​ agents,​ copilots) to build and ship products faster.​

- Ability to work
