Role summary
F5 is seeking a DevOps Engineer for its nginx software delivery team. This role involves maintaining development and release engineering infrastructure, focusing on service level agreements, workflow optimization, and automation. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, backup and recovery systems, and various tools like log aggregation and security scanners. The engineer will also troubleshoot performance and functional issues in both infrastructure and nginx products, and perform code reviews. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with extensive Linux/Unix experience, understanding of HTTP/TLS protocols, web applications, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), CI/CD frameworks (Terraform, Github, Gitlab), and proficiency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.

Position Summary
As a member of nginx software delivery team devops engineer maintains development and release engineering infrastructure and works on service level agreements, workflow optimization and in automation of recurring and repetitive tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implementation and maintenance of the CI/CD, product building infrastructure for nginx data plane and SaaS products.
- Backup and recovery design, configuration and monitoring.
- Automation of the routine procedures.
- Documentation of the existent and new infrastructure, procedures.
- Configuration and maintenance of the various tools like log aggregation and visualization, security scanners etc.
- other team members code review
- Performance and functional issues troubleshooting both in the infrastructure and in the nginx products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science/related fields or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive hand on experience working with Linux and/or other unix variants.
- Good understanding of http, tls protocols.
- Experience with Web Applications, reverse proxy and load balancers
- Experience with container and orchestration technologies and runtimes - Docker, k8s
- Understanding compute in public cloud platforms - GCP, AWS, Azure
- Experience with cloud Infra and modern CI/CD framework/tools - Terraform, Github, Gitlab etc.
- Proficiency in python, JavaScript or other programming languages and scripting.
- Experience with system integration, performance in hybrid and cloud environments
- Strong trouble-shooting skills

The annual base pay for this position is: $137,600.00 - $206,400.00
