Fact Finders Pro (FFP) is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for a contract role focused on combating disinformation. The manager will lead a growing engineering organization, define team strategy, and drive the hiring and development of talent. Responsibilities include leading the delivery of networking technologies across Microsoft businesses and fostering a DevOps culture. The role requires hands-on coding, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting. Job description
Responsibilities:
● Manage a growing engineering organization consisting of multiple teams.
● Define and drive team charter, vision, and strategy.
● Grow the engineering organization by hiring top talent and developing existing talent.
● Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture.
● Lead the development and delivery of networking technologies across all of Microsoft
businesses, including Azure, Windows and Office.
● Grow a devops culture with a focus on making customers successful and improving
developer productivity.
● Hands-on coding to a degree that enables effective development, code reviews, and
technical troubleshooting with the team.
Basic Qualifications:
● 3+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.
● 5+ years of software development experience with modern object-oriented
programming language, such as Python, and Javascript (Node, React).
● Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software &
AI engineering patterns (DevSecOps, Agentic, MCP, etc.)
● BS in Computer Science or 5+ years of experience in systems programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Must have coding, debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills
● Strong understanding of systems software
● Solid architectural skills backed up by implementation experience
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● A track record of solid results across multiple ship cycles
● Experience with networking protocols and architecture
● Thorough understanding of modern computer architectures found in desktop PCs and
servers, including networking.

This role is structured as a contract engagement and includes participation in the company’s Profits
Interest Unit (PIU) program. PIUs provide contributors the opportunity to share in the future growth
and success of the company as key milestones are achieved. Units vest based on the successful
completion of agreed project deliverables and represent participation in future profit and value
appreciation above a defined threshold. Please note that this is an independent contractor role and
does not include employee benefits.
