About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team at Masabi. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge mobile ticketing solutions. Your expertise will contribute to creating scalable and robust applications that enhance user experience for millions of transit riders worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure the successful delivery of features that meet both technical and business requirements.
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably in mobile or web applications.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud services, and database management.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Experience working on transportation or ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile and web applications for ticketing and fare collection.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Implement scalable backend services and APIs to support mobile applications.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure optimal application performance and security.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of features.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of code and system architecture.
• Continuously explore new technologies and methodologies to improve development processes and product offerings.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and clients as needed.
