About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Systems Engineer to join Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems division. This role involves designing, developing, and integrating complex systems for national security applications. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to develop solutions that meet rigorous performance and security standards. As a Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in translating customer requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components, and supporting system testing and validation. This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that have a direct impact on global security and technological advancement. The role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on defense or aerospace systems, is required. Strong understanding of systems architecture, integration, and validation processes is essential. Experience with modeling and simulation tools, requirements management, and system lifecycle development is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a strong commitment to security protocols. Security clearance at the Top Secret level is required for this role, and candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain this clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine system requirements based on customer needs and operational objectives.
- Create detailed system design documentation, including architecture diagrams and interface specifications.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and integration teams to ensure cohesive system development.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to verify performance and security standards.
- Support system deployment, configuration, and operational support activities.
- Participate in design reviews, technical assessments, and risk management processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
