About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Scientist to join our Finance team in Bellevue, WA. This role will focus on preparing and analyzing data related to our Jump deferrals, Apple Forever Valuations, and the Fair Market Value of Devices. The successful candidate will support the Modeling and Valuation team by providing insightful data analytics, statistical modeling, and process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our financial models. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, finance, or related fields, with proficiency in statistical modeling and data manipulation. Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
- Experience working with financial models, valuations, or related areas is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Operate and maintain financial models related to the Jump Program, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Run processes to estimate liabilities associated with the Jump Program, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Update and improve existing liability models to enhance efficiency and accuracy for various stakeholders.
- Provide ad hoc data analytics and statistical analysis to support valuation processes, including device values and Apple Forever valuations.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to forecast device values and support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with finance, modeling, and valuation teams to develop insights and optimize model performance.
- Create detailed reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
