About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering & Program Management professional to join our Surface & C5 Systems division in Herndon, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, integration, and deployment of high-assurance encryption systems used in demanding military and governmental environments worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion. As part of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical solutions that directly impact national security. This position requires active security clearance and US citizenship, emphasizing the importance of trust and confidentiality in our operations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in defense systems, encryption technologies, or project management is preferred. Candidates must hold an active government-issued security clearance, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI, and be U.S. citizens. Strong technical expertise in encryption, cybersecurity, or systems engineering is essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also required. Familiarity with military standards, system integration, and project lifecycle management will be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and supporting engineering projects related to high-assurance encryption systems. Key responsibilities include designing and developing secure communication solutions, conducting system integration and testing, and ensuring compliance with military and government standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, government agencies, and external partners to meet project milestones and deliverables. Additionally, you will manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, while maintaining rigorous security protocols. Providing technical guidance, troubleshooting system issues, and documenting processes and procedures are also integral parts of the role. Your efforts will directly contribute to the successful deployment of critical defense systems that safeguard national interests.
