About The Role
We are seeking talented Software Engineers at various experience levels—Associate, Experienced, and Senior—to join our Air Dominance team based in Berkeley, MO. This role primarily supports Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), focusing on developing cloud-native software solutions for mission planning and execution. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and integrating advanced software systems that support critical functions such as Aviate, Navigate, Communicate (ANC), Weapons and Payload Planning, Network Configuration, and Mission Debriefing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technology, leveraging modern DevSecOps practices and agile methodologies to deliver resilient, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields, with relevant professional experience aligned with the position level. Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages including Python, JavaScript, SQL, C, C#, and web development frameworks is required. Additionally, candidates with experience in DevSecOps tools like Jenkins and GitLab Runners, microservices architecture, and Agile work environments will be preferred. A strong understanding of web application development, mission planning frameworks, and model-based systems engineering principles will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software components that meet functional and non-functional requirements. They will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—including product managers, designers, and stakeholders—to translate project requirements into technical specifications. Developing scalable cloud-based solutions, implementing resilient front-end and back-end systems, and maintaining software pipelines and automation tools are core responsibilities. The role also involves participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards, supporting software verification and validation activities, and continuously improving development processes. Candidates will be expected to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
