Role summary

The Program Manager, Media & Communication will oversee day-to-day video projects for the Department of Athletics, focusing on digital media and video board needs. This role involves planning and executing video shoots, guiding creative direction, and possessing high-level editing skills. Responsibilities include establishing operational policies, collaborating with various internal and external teams (including PR, Marketing, and Global Partnerships), and managing budgets and compliance with university and athletic association policies. The position also requires assigning and training OPS staff and student workers, and presenting creative concepts to stakeholders. Travel and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are necessary.

## Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day video project responsibilities within Digital Media and Video Board needs. Responsible for planning and executing video shoots and overseeing the creative direction of the department. Possess a high-level editing skills in various video editing software. Responsible for establishing and implementing operational policies and procedures for related activities. Travel, as well as working late nights and during weekends, will be required.

Responsible for planning and executing video editing and other content projects to support the overall needs of assigned sports. Collaborate with Public Relations contact on assigned sports to execute individual branding and amplify storylines. Work closely with other external areas, including Marketing and Seminole Productions, on projects. Coordinate with Assistant Athletics Director for Public Relations on budget and maintaining compliance with FSU, ACC and NCAA policies.

Responsible for assigning tasks and projects to OPS staff and student workers based on skill level. Train student workers in areas of growth and design. Work with Assistant Athletics Director for Public Relations to effectively and efficiently distribute staffing assignments.

Responsible for presenting creative concepts and digital strategy to oversights and partners such as Florida State Global Partnerships and Seminole Boosters. Responsible for keeping the office informed on all athletic matters so that other University officials may be notified on Athletic Department policy changes or areas of concern.

## Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.
