Role summary
Fragomen is seeking an Immigration Operations & Data Analyst to join their team. This role bridges immigration operations, data management, and process optimization, partnering with legal teams to enhance accuracy and efficiency in immigration workflows. The analyst will be responsible for preparing Excel-based reports, building Power Query solutions, developing automation with VBA/Office Scripts, creating Power BI dashboards, and running Business Objects reports. Key responsibilities also include identifying process improvements, translating business needs into technical solutions, and supporting data integrity. The ideal candidate has immigration experience, advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with Power Query, Power BI, and Business Objects.

About the Role: We are seeking an internal candidate with hands-on immigration knowledge who also brings strong technical and analytical skills, particularly in Excel-based automation and reporting. This role sits at the intersection of immigration operations, data management, and process optimization. The individual will partner closely with immigration legal teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight across immigration-related workflows.

### Data Reporting & Automation
- Prepare Excel-based reporting to support immigration tracking, analysis, and operational decision-making using standardized data extracts and defined business rules.
- Build and maintain Power Query solutions to clean, transform, and combine data from multiple sources.
- Develop automation using VBA and/or Office Scripts to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards to provide visibility into immigration metrics, trends, and operational performance.
- Run and enhance reporting from Business Objects (BO/Boxi).
### Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize immigration data workflows.
- Translate business and immigration requirements into technical solutions that are maintainable and scalable.
- Partner with legal teams to ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on tools, dashboards, and reporting outputs.
### Immigration Operations & Subject Matter Support
- Partner with immigration stakeholders to understand data needs, recurring pain points, and reporting gaps.
- Support quality, consistency, and integrity of immigration-related data used for internal and external reporting and decision-making.
- Assist with documentation of data-driven immigration processes to ensure consistent usage and scalability.
Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:
- Immigration experience in a corporate (e.g., HR mobility) or professional services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Complex formulas, pivot tables, and large dataset handling
- Hands-on experience with Power Query.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and a data quality mindset.
- Experience with Business Objects/ Boxi reporting.
- Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to automate workflows using VBA and/or Office Scripts
- Experience documenting processes and data definitions
- Background in business analysis, operations analytics, or reporting enablement.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. Placement within the range will vary based on these factors, and compensation decisions are made to ensure internal equity and alignment with market data.
A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
$78,000.00 - $94,000.00
