Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, candidates must be able to perform their essential duty and fulfill their responsibility to a satisfactory degree. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Perform daily monitoring of activities including SIEM and other information sources monitoring, identification and mitigation of suspicious events, vulnerability management and threat mitigation.
- Maintain existing and future security systems such as EDR, SIEM, and other cyberattack detection and analytics tools; responsible for the full lifecycle of security technologies including deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance, patching/upgrading, and decommission.
- Monitor information systems and maintain security controls to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and industry best practices.
- Advise and consult with internal stakeholders on risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with partners on implementation of security controls and security posture reporting.
- Monitor established security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure conformance with NIST cyber security framework.
- Develop and maintain various daily reports for audit review (security and change management).
- Ensure Information Security policies and controls are current and compliant with required regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of network devices/infrastructure, TCP/IP, network protocols, operating systems, and vulnerability scanning
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and control implementations
- Ability to perform incident analysis complete with tracking, root cause, and recommendations for preventions
- Understanding of regulatory security requirements and implementation methods
- Effective use of PowerShell queries with minimal request information, has become tool for day to day operational efficiency
- Ability to propose and implement solutions

- Develops information security solutions diagrams
- Awareness of all Information Security solutions implemented and perform base level research in the solutions including identity solutions
- Hands on experience updating at least 2 security solutions
- Conceptual understanding of Application Development lifecycle with security implications as a focus
- Hands on identity federation implementation experience
- Ability to identify, articulate, and implement solutions for areas of opportunity within security operations domain
- Awareness of all Information Security solutions implemented and perform advanced research and analysis in the solutions including identity solutions
- Successful implementation of 2 security solutions
- Effective use of PowerShell scripts for day to day operational efficiency
- Ability to propose and implement solutions to identified system issues

- Perform advanced network security troubleshooting and solutioning
- Develops / maintains information security solutions diagrams
- Ability to utilize all Identity Management solutions implemented and perform base level troubleshooting in the solutions
- Working knowledge of and ability to articulate security requirements and best practices for the purposes of recommending solutions or compensating controls
- Maintains Security Solutions infrastructure
