
Supply Chain Data Analyst (Material Demand Planner)
Role summary
FTAI Aviation is seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst specializing in Material Demand Planning. This role is crucial for analyzing and optimizing FTAI's $1.5 billion annual inventory spend and current levels. The analyst will leverage the proprietary FTAI Inventory Management Center, built with Palantir, to drive investment decisions and cost savings. Key responsibilities include analyzing inventory balances, managing min/max requirements for four Maintenance, Repair, and Exchange facilities, identifying demand for shop visits, and determining parts to sell based on market demand. The role also involves evaluating supplier RFQs and pricing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving user adoption of the inventory management system. The ideal candidate possesses 5-10 years of experience in Data Analytics, Parts Procurement, and Engine Maintenance, with strong analytical and supply chain management skills.

JOB OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for analyzing and optimizing FTAI’s $1.5bn annual inventory spend and current inventory levels. This role will be responsible for the analytical review of all FTAI inventory using our proprietary software FTAI Inventory Management Center built with Palantir and will use data to drive investment decisions and cost savings. The candidate will also support the improvements and expansion of FTAI’s Inventory Management Center and user adoption across all FTAI facilities.
Candidates will also champion initiatives critical to ensuring that inventory owned is sufficient to support engine builds at FTAI’s four Maintenance Repair facilities and driving cost saving initiatives for individual piece parts. Primary responsibilities include setting the strategy for parts procurement, identifying shop demand and notifying commodity managers of needs and parts to issue in RFQ.
*Responsibilities:*
- Analyze FTAI’s daily inventory balances, managing min/max requirements for each of FTAI’s 4x Maintenance, Repair and Exchange facilities. Identifying demand for shop visits based on production and notifying commodities team of the demand for purchase of inventory
- Analyze FTAI’s daily inventory balances for over supply, identify those parts to sell based on market demands, notify commodities team of inventory to sell
- Evaluate parts proposals and RFQ’s from suppliers to determine if pricing meets FTAI requirements
- Evaluate the value of FTAI inventory to identify areas of cost savings and drive pricing down
- Ensure configuration and regulatory requirements are met for parts acquired and understand various configurations needed for engine builds
- Drive Improvements business efficiencies and user adoption of FTAI’s Inventory Management Center across all FTAI shops with the support of Palantir.
- KPI’s include meeting Inventory Targets, maintaining Min/Max requirements and ensuring Production meets deadlines without delays due to parts
*Qualifications:*
- You have 5 to 10 years+ of experience in Data Analytics, Parts Procurement and Engine Maintenance
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Excellent analytical skills. Ability to work with a broad range of variables, conduct root cause analysis, and ability to assess both short-term, strategic and long-term impact of alternative courses of action.
- Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- You have a strong technical knowledge of Engine Maintenance, Supply Chain Management and CFM56 products
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business or equivalent
- You may be required to travel and work extended hours when required
- Excellent organizational awareness and relationship building skills, with the ability to manage through multiple teams in various locations
- Excellent business acumen combined with demonstrated leadership, communication, collaboration, negotiation and influence skills
