Mid-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location:
Atlanta, GA | Hybrid (3 days onsite: Tuesday–Thursday)

We’re hiring a Mid-Level SDET to join a collaborative engineering team focused on building high-quality, reliable software. This role bridges software development and quality engineering, with a strong emphasis on automated testing, test frameworks, and CI/CD integration.

You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to design and implement effective testing strategies, contribute to scalable automation, and help foster a strong culture of quality across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute automated tests for web, API, and backend systems
• Build and maintain test frameworks, tools, and test environments
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and engineering best practices
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and partner with engineers on resolution
• Participate in code reviews and test case reviews
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, coverage, and execution time
• Work cross-functionally to optimize testing strategies
• Provide feedback on software design to improve quality and testability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience in software testing and test automation
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and backend systems
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
