Product Owner
Funding Change | Build things that actually matter
Let’s be honest - most product roles talk about “impact” and then have you grooming tickets for 6 months.
This isn’t that.
At Funding Change, we’re rethinking how organizations connect with donors, scale impact, and actually use technology to drive meaningful outcomes. We’re growing fast, evolving our platform, and integrating new capabilities; which means we need someone who can own product, not just manage it.
What you’ll actually do
Own the product lifecycle from idea → build → launch → iterate
Translate business goals into clear product direction (no fluff, no ambiguity)
Work closely with tech/product, and leadership to ship meaningful features; not just “nice to haves”
Act as the bridge between strategy and execution
Prioritize ruthlessly (because everything can’t be important)
Define and track success metrics and adjust when reality hits
Get hands-on with user feedback, customer insights, and data
Collaborate with third-party partners and vendors to integrate and optimize external technologies within our platform
Help shape our roadmap as we scale and integrate new technology
Set clear timelines and communicate them like a
*Boss*
- stakeholders don’t like surprises, and neither do we. If something’s early, late, or at risk, we say it.
Own delivery expectations end-to-end - not just
*what*
we’re building, but
*when*
it’s landing and why that timing makes sense
Remove blockers fast - whether it’s a business decision, missing input, or “we’re waiting on someone,” you jump in and clear the path so the team keeps moving
Be the go-to for answers - when devs have questions, they don’t stall… they come to you, and you get them what they need quickly
Prioritize with context, not just instinct - balance quick wins vs. bigger bets by aligning timelines with OKRs (sometimes a fast 5% win matters, sometimes you go all-in on the 30% move)
Own the requirements - take messy ideas, half-formed asks, and “we should probably…” conversations and turn them into clear, actionable product requirements the team can actually build against
What we’re looking for
You’ve built and shipped digital products; ideally in a scaling environment
You’re equally comfortable talking to developers, executives, and customers
You know how to turn messy ideas into structured execution
You can prioritize without overthinking everything
You’re curious, pragmatic, and not afraid to challenge assumptions
Bonus: experience with SaaS, platforms, or data-driven products
What success looks like
Teams are aligned and moving fast
Product decisions are clear and grounded in real insight
Features ship and actually get used
We’re solving real problems for our partners, not just building features
You become someone the team relies on to make things happen
Why this role matters
We’re at a point where product isn’t just supporting the business - it’s driving it.
This role sits right at the center of that.
If you want to:
Own real outcomes
Work directly with leadership
Build something that has actual impact
You’ll like it here.
A few things we value
Clarity over complexity
Progress over perfection
Ownership over excuses
Data + instinct (not one or the other)
The vibe
We’re smart, a bit scrappy, and we move quickly.
No unnecessary layers. No endless meetings.
Just good people building meaningful things (and having fun doing it).
