Senior Machine Learning Engineer

### Who you are
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, especially with ML systems
- 2+ years of MLOps experience
- Experience leading teams of engineers with demonstrated impact on technical strategy
- A generalist software engineering mindset ready to learn new languages, frameworks, and techniques required for a fast paced startup environment
- Demonstrated ability to build complex systems using AI coding agents (we use Claude Code)
- Familiarity with data security and HIPAA compliance
- A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback

- We are seeking an exceptional Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our organization. Garner’s Engineering team tackles incredibly hard technical problems for a mission that truly matters
- Our systems analyze billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers across the country. We are an AWS + Kubernetes shop, and we are constantly introducing new technologies as our system load doubles every year

- Lead team-level technical strategy and execution on multi-quarter time horizons
- Use AI to build, optimize, and maintain ML, data, and software systems
- Uplevel engineers across the organization by raising the technical barCollaborate across disciplines to understand our domain and iterate on projects
- Protect our users’ privacy and security through best practices
- Technologies we use: Claude Code, Kubernetes, AWS, Airflow, dlt, dbt
