Product Designer
Role summary
Gigawatt, a fast-growing AI company in the utilities and energy sector, seeks a Product Designer to create custom design solutions for their brand, technology, and clients. The role requires 5+ years of product/UI/UX design experience, 3+ years in B2B SaaS, and 5+ years with Figma, components, prototyping, and design systems. Experience in AI product design, interaction design, and Agile/SCRUM environments is essential. The designer will collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and customers, own design decisions, and create wireframes, prototypes, and full designs. Utility industry experience is a plus.

We are looking for a Product Designer to help create and build custom design solutions for our brand, our technology and our clients' needs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in product/UI/UX design
- 3+ years of experience designing for B2B SaaS products
- 5+ years of Figma experience with components, prototyping, design systems
- Startup experience (fast-paced, ambiguous environments)
- AI product design (conversational UI, AI interactions)
- Proficiency designing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes using Figma
- Subject Matter Expertise in interaction design
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including thorough and methodical attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to self-manage time and work independently.
- Experience working with SCRUM in an Agile environment.
- The ability to collaborate with customers and product managers to build upon their vision using sound UX principles.
- The ability to own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles.
- Able to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction
- Able to consult with engineers to ensure technical feasibility of designs
- Able to capture requirements and create workflows, wireframes, prototypes and fully fleshed out designs.
- Create research plans/scripts for researchers to conduct user research and usability sessions.
- Able to define success metrics as part of the end-to-end UX process.
- Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Able to present and inform on design decisions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Utility Industry experience is a huge plus!
