Deputy Program Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy Program Manager to join our team and drive the successful execution of complex programs. Duties

• Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive program strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead project planning efforts, including scope management, schedule development using tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and resource allocation.
• Oversee project implementation by coordinating activities across teams, managing risks through root cause analysis and risk management techniques, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, process mapping, and business process modeling to define clear project deliverables and success criteria.
• Manage project portfolio by tracking progress via PPM tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet; monitor earned value management metrics; and control costs through budgeting and cost control strategies.
• Drive change management initiatives by employing methodologies like Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, or Waterfall to optimize processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen).
• Lead meeting facilitation sessions to ensure effective communication among stakeholders; negotiate project scope changes; and resolve conflicts promptly to maintain momentum.
• Support vendor management activities by evaluating IT infrastructure solutions, overseeing contracts, and ensuring vendor deliverables meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven supervising experience leading diverse teams in a fast-paced environment with strong team management skills.
• Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile (SAFe), Waterfall, Lean, Six Sigma, and the PMBOK framework.
• Demonstrated expertise in program development, project scheduling, scope management, risk assessment, and requirements analysis.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet or equivalent tools for project scheduling and tracking.
• Strong data analysis skills with experience in data collection and interpretation to inform decision-making processes.
• Excellent communication skills capable of presenting complex information clearly; skilled in technical writing for documentation purposes.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience in IT project management including IT infrastructure projects or ERP systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management processes; familiarity with tools like SharePoint or ServiceNow is advantageous.
