Role summary

Goken is seeking a Vehicle Test Engineer specializing in ADAS Vision Systems (Cameras, Radars, Lidars) to support automotive ADAS function validation. This role involves hands-on vehicle testing, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting, focusing on functions like LKAS and ACC. The engineer will also be involved in vehicle benchmarking, tuning, and troubleshooting, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience are required, along with proficiency in Vector CAN tools and diagnostics.

Summary
This role will support engineering test and development activities for Automotive ADAS function (LKAS, ACC, etc) validation focusing on vision systems (Cameras, Radars, Lidars, etc) by performing hands-on vehicle validation activities.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the engineering test activities by applying engineering principles, experiences, and various analysis tools in following established test plans/procedures to test parts/components in area of specialty to determine design feasibility and ensure parts/components meet design acceptance criteria, performance level targets and any applicable regulatory/internal standards.
  • Depending on functional area, must perform objective and subjective testing by driving.
  • Utilize data acquisition tools to collect data, analyze and report results.
  • Conduct vehicle benchmarking for the purpose of target setting.
  • Support vehicle tuning and instrument vehicles for objective tests.
  • Analyze and resolve problems with moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Negotiate with other departments internally and suppliers externally to meet the spec requirements.
  • Coordinate with design and CAE teams to report results and develop countermeasures.
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology.
  • Travel to client / test sites required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and minimum 2 years of Hands-on vehicle testing experience to validate ADAS functions such as LKAS, ACC, etc on prototype development vehicles
  • Education with the following specialties preferred: Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive.
  • Minimum 2yrs experience using Vector CAN tools, Data Acquisition tools.
  • Experience with ECU Controls and calibration validation including understanding of SW logic/behavior principles
  • Diagnostics/Troubleshooting experience (harness, software, electrical)
  • HiLs/SiLs bench test experience is desirable
  • Proving Grounds / Test track driving experience required for test driving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office, DOORS.
  • Hands on experience with wrenching and vehicle instrumentation
  • Must have a valid US driver’s license
