Role summary

Goldbelt Nighthawk is seeking a senior Information Security Analyst – SME to lead security analysis, risk management, and compliance efforts. This role requires deep expertise in RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks, along with extensive experience in eMASS, POA&M management, and system authorization. The analyst will oversee vulnerability management, analyze security events and incidents, and recommend mitigation strategies. A Tier III Level Clearance is mandatory. Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security monitoring solutions is preferred. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Summary:

The Information Security Analyst – SME serves as a senior cybersecurity authority responsible for leading security analysis, risk management, and compliance efforts across multiple systems or programs.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead cybersecurity analysis and risk management activities across systems, ensuring alignment with ISSO and ISSE functions
  • Provide expert guidance on implementation and assessment of security controls in accordance with NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD policies
  • Oversee vulnerability management processes, including identification, prioritization, and remediation tracking
  • Analyze complex security events, incidents, and threat intelligence to assess risk and recommend mitigation strategies

Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
  • Extensive experience with eMASS, POA&M management, and system authorization processes
  • Strong background in vulnerability management, threat analysis, and incident response

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or risk management
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security monitoring solutions preferred
  • Must have a Tier III Level Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
