Fullstack Engineering Intern - Remote (Summer 2026)
Role summary
Seeking a Fullstack Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to gain hands-on experience with frontend (React, HTML, CSS) and backend (Apache, PHP, MySQL, Linux) web application development hosted on AWS. This remote, full-time internship involves working on small tasks, taking ownership of a project, and presenting it at the end. The ideal candidate is a Computer Science student or recent graduate with a strong foundation in OOP, algorithms, data structures, and a desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment. Must have experience with React, AJAX, and performant SQL.
## About the role
Our Fullstack Software Engineering Intern role offers hands-on experience developing both the frontend and backend components of web applications hosted on AWS. You’ll get the opportunity to learn frontend technologies such as React, HTML, and CSS; and backend technologies such as Apache, PHP, MySQL, and Linux. During this internship, you will be given small tasks at the start to learn the code base. After getting comfortable, you will be given a project that you can own and present at the end of the internship. A successful intern will be able to execute the project and clearly present it to the company.
Expected start date: June 1, 2026
This is a 10- to 12-week internship. Full-time hours are required.
## What you’ll do
- Work with experienced engineers to design, implement, and test features to enhance user experience and functionality.
- Learn different areas of the software development stack: Frontend, Backend, DevOps, databases, and/or mobile.
- Perform code reviews on peer engineers’ pull requests
- Query data to gather metrics about product usage
- Work with products that integrate with Generative AI
- Present a mobile, fullstack, or DevOps project to the Engineering team by the end of the internship
## Who you are
- Computer science student or new graduate. You arecurrently a senior BSCS student in school or a recent BSCS graduate. You have a strong foundation in Object-Oriented programming. (Expected Graduation 2026 or 2027)
- A desire to strengthen coding skills. You must have knowledge of frontend and backend technology.
- Startup growth mindset. You are someone who thrives in a quickly-changing environment with the ability to hyperfocus and quickly pivot when needed. We’re growing, and fast; however, being a part of a startup means that some of our business goals exist 3 months in the future rather than 3 years.
- Quick learner and highly adaptable. You enjoy learning and can pick up on new concepts quickly. You are also open and can adapt easily to new processes and ways of thinking. Learning is a never-ending process for you.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills. You havestrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Required Skills
- You have built applications in the Javascript Framework React
- You have a good understanding of Ajax
- You know how to write performant SQL statements
- You understand the fundamentals of Algorithms and Datastructures
