### Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
  • 3 years of experience developing and implementing analytical models for trend identification and predictive forecasting.
  • 1 year of experience with state of the art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).
  • 1 year of experience building Generative AI agents that demonstrate capabilities in tool use, planning, and multi-step reasoning.

### Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience working with search quality and search infrastructure.
  • Ability to drive high-level strategy and provide detailed technical guidance with a commitment to building exceptional, user-focused products and a focus on efficiency in fluid, dynamic environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ## Responsibilities

  • Help define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for key initiatives within the local flagships goal. Make key architectural and design decisions.
  • Uphold and promote best practices in software development, including system design, code quality, testing, and reliability. Run experiments and analyze metrics to measure impact and inform strategy.
  • Proactively mentor other engineers on technical skills and guide the integration of multiple adjacent project timelines, goals, and objectives. Drive alignment and partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Researchers, and other Engineering teams across Google.
  • Clearly communicate technical strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and leadership.
