Role summary

Google DeepMind is seeking a Gemini Post-training Software Engineer to contribute to the advancement of digital agents and their deployment into production. This role involves identifying model improvements, training and evaluating agents in various digital environments, with a focus on multi-step reinforcement learning in multimodal settings. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, 5 years of experience in machine learning model design, training, and evaluation, proficiency in Python, and experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI. Experience in ML testing with frameworks like TensorFlow is also required. Preferred qualifications include expertise in building and scaling AI systems and deep knowledge of Reinforcement Learning.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models.
  • Experience in Python programming.
  • Experience in test writing for ML purposes either in Tensor flow or similar for post-silicon data collection, and pre-silicon modeling and correlation.
  • Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building, scaling, and training/fine-tuning AI models and systems.
  • Deep expertise in Reinforcement Learning.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
