Role summary

Google is seeking a Senior Program Manager for its Trust and Safety Operations team. This role involves leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, focusing on reducing risk and fighting abuse across Google's products. The Program Manager will work with stakeholders to define requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and ensure clear communication across diverse teams and geographies. Key responsibilities include implementing communication standards, establishing program review cadences, leading governance structures for executive decision-making, defining program portfolios for high business impact, and building cross-functional alliances. The role requires a strong background in program management, trust and safety, and operations, with an emphasis on internal stakeholder management.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in trust and safety.
  • Experience in operations and internal stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management.
  • Familiarity with Google products, types of online abuse, and policy development/strategies.
  • Excellent investigative, quantitative, and statistical problem-solving skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications.
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide.
  • Lead a governance structure that drives effective executive decision-making.
  • Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that target high business impact for the organization.
  • Build alliances with cross-organization and cross-functional stakeholders who have similarly aligned priorities.
