A well-established complex litigation firm in Virginia is seeking a Associate Attorney with 2-9 years of experience. This role offers the opportunity to manage meaningful cases while working closely with experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment. 1st chair experience a ++
Responsibilities

• Managageable caseload
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Conduct depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Work closely with clients, medical providers, and expert witnesses
• Prepare cases for trial and assist in courtroom proceedings
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation strategy

Qualifications

• 2-9 years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred)
• Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills
• Experience managing cases independently with support from senior attorneys
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment
