Role summary

Grace MindCare is seeking a part-time Medical Billing & Data Analyst to join their mental health clinic. This hybrid role in Seattle, WA, focuses on optimizing revenue cycle performance through medical billing operations and data analysis. Responsibilities include claim submission, payment posting, denial management, A/R follow-up, analyzing billing data for trends and inefficiencies, and generating financial reports. The ideal candidate possesses strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting, with Python experience being preferred. Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and data visualization tools is also a plus. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of working independently.

Position Overview:

Grace MindCare is seeking a detail oriented and analytical Medical Billing & Data Analyst to support our growing mental health clinic. This role combines medical billing operations with data analysis to optimize revenue cycle performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision making. The ideal candidate is both operationally strong in billing and technically skilled in data handling and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support medical billing processes, including claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
  • Monitor A/R and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement
  • Analyze billing data to identify trends and inefficiencies.
  • Generate regular financial and operational reports (e.g., collections, aging reports, payer performance)
  • Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, coding standards, and healthcare regulations
  • Assist in optimizing workflows and implementing automation where possible
  • Maintain accurate and organized billing and financial records

Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare finance
  • Strong understanding of insurance claims, CPT/ICD coding, and reimbursement processes
  • Proficiency in Excel (required), including data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting
  • Experience with Python (preferred), particularly for data analysis, automation, or reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with EHR/EMR and billing systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in healthcare analytics, finance, or related field
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
