Remote Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with large data sets, and a deep understanding of modern data analysis tools and databases.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.
- Manage users and user roles within the data environment.
- Perform quality assurance of imported data and collaborate with QA teams when needed.
- Commission and decommission data sets as required.
- Process confidential data and information according to company guidelines.
- Develop reports and perform data analysis to support business decision-making.
- Design and manage the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
- Support the data warehouse by identifying and revising reporting requirements.
- Assist in initiatives to maintain data integrity and normalization.
- Evaluate and implement new or upgraded software and contribute to strategic technology decisions.
- Generate reports from single or multiple systems.
- Troubleshoot reporting databases, environments, and reports.
- Evaluate changes and updates to source production systems.
- Train end users on new reports, dashboards, and data tools.
Provide technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience handling large data sets and working with relational databases.
• Strong understanding of database management methodologies and large-scale data processing.
• Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and recommend software solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, non-technical language.
• Understanding of addressing and metadata standards.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and assess potential risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
