GuRu has a highly talented, focused engineering team and is looking for a passionate DevOps engineer experienced in supporting embedded-system development and IT infrastructure. You’ll partner with the whole organization to design scalable, secure, and resilient DevOps practices, tools, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Provision, update, and manage end-point hardware – Deploy new laptops and servers, configure baseline security settings, and conduct regular health checks to maintain compliance, security, and high performance.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Action, GitLab CI) to automate build, test, and deployment stages
- Install, configure, and maintain on-prem license management servers to ensure uninterrupted access to tools
- Integrate server health checks into CI/CD monitoring dashboards for real-time visibility
- Evaluate and implement new tools, sharing best practices across the teams
- Automate provisioning and configurations using infrastructure-as-code solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify infrastructure needs and remove development bottlenecks
- Configure, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure, upholding network availability and security
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, IT, or Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience automating workflows and repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and other shell environments
- Strong coding abilities for building automation, monitoring tools, internal apps, and infrastructure software
- Proficient with build systems and configuration tools (e.g. Make, CMake) to generate reliable, repeatable builds
- Experience with version-control systems for source-code management and collaboration
- Skilled in cross-platform deployment and environment configuration across Linux, macOS, and Windows ecosystems
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including configuration of interfaces, firewalls, and common protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and technical support to identify and resolve hardware or software issues effectively.
- Experience with network security, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data against potential threats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Collaborated with development and security teams to embed compliance checks, secret management, and policy-as-code into CI/CD workflows
- Implemented configuration management practices to enforce consistent system states across environments

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
