Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, implementing memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, using appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and following strict aseptic techniques during patient interactions.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program; active license required.
- Experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology principles, and vital signs assessment.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like MatrixCare or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
- Prior experience with specialized care areas including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, behavioral health support, hospice or palliative care is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges; experience in geriatrics settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining patient safety at all times.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and infection control standards; basic life support (BLS) certification preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
