You will work within a high-impact platform team leveraging Perl, Python, and Java to build scalable healthcare integration systems while exploring cutting-edge AI-driven development tools like GitHub Copilot and Windsurf.
The Role

• Develop and optimize critical backend components using Perl, Python, or Java to facilitate seamless healthcare data transmission.
• Modernize legacy technology stacks and contribute to the evolution of the athenaCoordinator Core platform using HL7 protocols.
• Manage high-quality code deployments through CI/CD pipelines utilizing Harness, Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Scale cloud operations within an AWS environment, specifically working with EC2, S3, and Lambda services.
• Engage in fast-paced Agile sprints to deliver iterative system improvements and troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks.

What You'll Need

• 0-2 years of professional software development experience in a product-driven environment.
• Proficiency in at least one major language: Perl (highly preferred), Python, or Java.
• Strong foundations in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Experience with version control (Git) and a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
