We're working with a global leader in digital transformation and enterprise technology services on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a technical powerhouse to drive innovation within the Retirement and Life insurance space, leveraging deep expertise in OmniPlus and legacy system modernization.

This is a high-impact role where you will bridge the gap between complex financial business logic and robust technical execution. You will be responsible for designing architecture that scales, utilizing a core stack of COBOL, VSAM, and Linux Shell Scripting to ensure high-performance processing for millions of retirement records.

The Role

• Lead the design and implementation of robust OmniPlus product architectures tailored for the Retirement and Life & Annuities domains.

• Architect and optimize high-volume data processing systems using VSAM and COBOL to ensure maximum scalability and performance.

• Automate complex workflows and system integrations through advanced Linux Shell Scripting and Omni Script development.

• Collaborate directly with cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into seamless product functionalities.

• Mentor development teams through code reviews and technical troubleshooting to resolve complex system bottlenecks and minimize downtime.

What You'll Need

• Extensive hands-on experience with OmniPlus and Omni Script within a financial services or retirement record-keeping environment.

• Deep technical mastery of COBOL and VSAM for backend processing and data management.

• Strong command of Linux Shell Scripting for automation, scheduling, and system maintenance.

• Proven background in the Retirement domain (401k, Defined Contribution) or Life and Annuities insurance.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead troubleshooting efforts in a complex, distributed environment.
