Software Engineer

Software/Solutions Engineer | Tampa, FL | Open to remote

We're working with a leading high-precision advanced manufacturing powerhouse on this exciting opportunity. This is a rare chance to lead greenfield engineering projects where heavy industry meets cutting-edge tech, including AI-driven automation and cloud-native infrastructure.

You will act as the bridge between high-level business strategy and deep technical execution, building scalable systems that modernize American manufacturing. From deploying Kubernetes clusters to optimizing LLMs for internal workflows, you will have total ownership over a diverse and mission-critical tech stack.

The Role

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and closing technical knowledge gaps within a high-stakes environment.

• Architect and deploy production-grade code using Python, Java, or C# while managing infrastructure across AWS and Azure cloud environments.

• Drive AI/ML initiatives by building and customizing models, utilizing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embeddings, and predictive analytics to optimize operations.

• Hands-on DevOps and Systems Engineering: manage Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, VDI environments, and Identity Access Management via Azure AD.

• Ensure rigorous security and compliance, aligning all digital infrastructure with CMMC and ITAR standards for secure manufacturing.

What You'll Need

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to ITAR compliance and government contract regulations.

• Proven expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (Python, C#, or Java) and deep experience with Relational Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and DBA tasks.

• Strong background in Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and Containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks (CMMC, NIST, or ITAR) and experience managing Active Directory and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

• A "growth mindset" and the ability to pivot between acting as a Lead Architect, a Hands-on Developer, and a Program Manager.
