We're working with a global leader in mission-critical defense and aerospace technology on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a powerhouse engineer to modernize and evolve the United Kingdom’s National Airspace System, building the high-stakes, real-time infrastructure that keeps the skies safe.

This isn't your average CRUD app development; you’ll be hands-on with C++, Linux, and low-level networking to support safety-critical systems. If you thrive on solving complex, multi-threaded challenges where performance and precision are non-negotiable, this is your next mission.

The Role

• Lead the design and development of real-time, high-availability software for national-scale aviation infrastructure.

• Architect and optimize multi-threaded applications using C and C++ within a Red Hat Linux environment.

• Tackle complex system integration, working with virtual machines, hypervisors, and hardware-level communication interfaces.

• Drive engineering excellence by mentoring junior developers and spearheading Agile ceremonies and sprint reviews.

• Develop and deploy automation scripts to streamline development, testing, and production across global environments.

What You'll Need

• 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience (or 6-10 with a Master’s Degree) in Computer Science or a related technical field.

• Deep expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, specifically with C++, C, or Ada.

• Hands-on mastery of low-level networking protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, and SCTP.

• Strong background in Linux (RHEL) development, including experience with virtual machines and configuration management tools.

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
