The Role
• Provide technical leadership and direction for BI engineering, ensuring scalable and governed analytics solutions.
• Design, build, and enhance semantic layer content with reusable components for scalable analytics.
• Act as a player-coach, contributing hands-on to BI engineering while mentoring BI Developers.
• Partner closely with Data Engineering to align on data flows and platform patterns.
• Support BI platform strategy with technical input on tooling and roadmap decisions.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex BI architecture decisions and data quality issues.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's Degree in analytics, computer science, statistics, or a related field strongly preferred.
• 7-9 years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, or analytics-focused roles.
• Expert-level SQL proficiency with advanced optimization and complex transformations.
• Deep experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and data transformation layers.
• Advanced proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong expertise with dbt, including semantic layer design and development.
• Hands-on Python skills for data transformation and analytical workflows.
