Junior Software Engineer | United States | Remote-Friendly | $57,850 - $104,575

We're working with a global powerhouse in defense innovation and mission-critical technology on this exciting opportunity. Join a elite team building the US Air Force's next-generation Command and Control (C2IMERA) applications using modern Java and React ecosystems.

This is your chance to trade "corporate comfort" for high-stakes impact, developing software that protects national security while skyrocketing your technical growth. You will be challenged to outthink and outpace the status quo in a fast-paced, Agile environment where every line of code matters.

The Role

• Design, develop, and debug mission-critical source code using Java and C++ within a high-performance defense sector team.

• Build responsive, modern front-end interfaces using JavaScript and frameworks like React to enhance situational awareness for the US Air Force.

• Execute the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using industry-leading Agile tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git.

• Develop maintainable, high-quality code and automated tests to support robust continuous integration (CI) pipelines.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to architect technical designs for complex systems where the solution isn't always pre-defined.

What You'll Need

• US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance (or higher) is mandatory for this mission.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 0-2 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Hands-on proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (Java/C++) and modern JavaScript/React web development.

• Familiarity with full-stack technologies including REST, JSON, XML, HTML/CSS, and web servers like Apache Tomcat or JBoss.

• Practical knowledge of version control systems (Git) and exposure to databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

What's On Offer

• Highly competitive salary range ($57,850 - $104,575) with comprehensive health, wellness, and retirement benefits.

• Remote-friendly flexibility with access to regional hubs in VA, MA, FL, NE, and WV for occasional onsite collaboration.

• Unparalleled professional growth opportunities through direct mentorship on high-visibility, customer-facing national security projects.

• A collaborative and inclusive culture that prioritizes disruption and innovation over maintaining the status quo.
