Role summary

Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Product Owner with strong CIAM domain expertise to lead the development and evolution of our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform. This role is critical to delivering secure, seamless, and user-centric digital experiences for millions of customers. The ideal candidate brings a strong product mindset, deep understanding of identity and access management, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with business, technology, security, UX, and compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Vision
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for CIAM capabilities, including registration, authentication, consent management, identity proofing, and profile management
- Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, customer impact, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Translate business and regulatory needs into epics, features, and well-defined user stories
- Ensure alignment between business goals, customer needs, and technical delivery
CIAM Domain Expertise
- Partner with architects and engineers to design and deliver secure, scalable CIAM solutions
- Provide product leadership across CIAM capabilities, including:
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML
- Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Identity federation and consent management
- Ensure CIAM solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, engineering teams, security, compliance, and UX
- Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and product demos
- Communicate product vision, progress, and risks to senior and executive stakeholders
- Translate technical concepts into clear business value and customer outcomes
Customer-Centric Focus
- Advocate for frictionless, secure, and trusted digital identity experiences
- Analyze customer feedback, usage metrics, and analytics to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure CIAM solutions support accessibility, inclusivity, and usability across web, mobile, and API channels
- Balance user experience with security and compliance requirements
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience as a
Product Owner or Product Manager
in technology
- Minimum
2+ years of experience
in
CIAM, IAM, or security-related domains
- Strong understanding of CIAM technologies and standards:
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, FIDO, MFA, identity verification
- Hands-on experience with
CIAM / IAM platforms
such as
Ping Identity
or custom identity solutions
- Proven ability to write clear
user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in
Agile / Scrum
environments
- Experience in the
financial services sector
