Role summary
A global leader in custom hardware integration and edge computing solutions seeks a DevOps Engineer I to automate testing frameworks, optimize Linux/Windows environments, and ensure seamless deployment of enterprise server systems. This high-impact role involves developing automated scripts for hardware testing and imaging, troubleshooting complex system failures across major hardware platforms, and designing automated testing frameworks. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate client requirements into automated delivery plans and drive lean manufacturing practices. A BS in Computer Science or related field, proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows OS, and scripting abilities are required.

This is a high-impact role for a budding engineer to bridge the gap between software development and hardware production. You will be responsible for automating testing frameworks, optimizing Linux/Windows environments, and ensuring the seamless deployment of enterprise-grade server systems for world-class tech giants.
The Role
- Develop and maintain automated scripts to test, update, and image hardware systems using modern test automation platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex "white box" system failures across Tier 1 platforms including Supermicro, Dell, Lenovo, and HPE.
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks for both Linux/Unix and Windows environments to ensure high-quality field products.
- Collaborate directly with Engineering and Sales Ops to translate client requirements into robust, automated delivery plans.
- Drive lean manufacturing practices by creating clear technical work instructions and custom executables for software bundle deployment.
What You'll Need
- 0-2 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Hardware Integration roles.
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Operating Systems, including networking protocols and server architecture.
- Proven ability to write scripts for automation, system imaging, and unit/integration testing.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and enterprise tools like ERP and PLM systems.
