Role summary
A leading research and development center is seeking a Senior Engineer/Analyst to join their hybrid team. This role involves leading and contributing to the development of algorithms, mathematical-physical models, and prototype software for critical defense applications. Key responsibilities include driving advancements in signal processing, image processing, data fusion, and optimization techniques, as well as creating and analyzing new modeling and simulation methods. The Role
• Lead and contribute to teams developing algorithms, mathematical-physical models, and prototype software for critical defense applications.
• Drive the development of new signal processing, image processing, multi-sensor data fusion, and resource optimization techniques.
• Lead and support teams in creating and analyzing new modeling, simulation, and analytical methods and tools.
• Contribute to the development and analysis of new concepts and architectures for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
• Oversee and participate in field tests and experiments, including planning, execution, and data analysis.
• Document and present team results to managers, sponsors, and at technical workshops and conferences.
What You'll Need
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or a related field.
• At least seven years of relevant technical experience.
• Expertise in areas such as remote sensing, signal/image processing, data fusion, statistical analysis, mathematical optimization, or machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages like MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java, and experience in Linux environments.
• Domain knowledge in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance processes, US military and intelligence community systems, and command and control.
• Proven ability to lead teams and complex technical efforts.
• Active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
