We're working with a premier mission-critical defense contractor and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business on this exciting opportunity to support U.S. Naval readiness.
Step into a high-impact role supporting the U.S. Navy’s REM program, where you will leverage Python and SQL to drive lethal effectiveness for the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC). You will play a pivotal role in reconstructing naval exercises and managing the NSTRAT system to ensure our fleet maintains its tactical edge.
The Role

  • Lead the reconstruction and analysis of complex naval events and exercises by maintaining high-performance databases.
  • Extract and manipulate mission-critical data using SQL to provide meaningful insights for Navy technical subject matter experts.
  • Take full ownership of the Navy Ship Tracking Reporting and Analysis Tool (NSTRAT) system, including administration and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct software engineering and testing functions to develop custom data analysis tools for maritime event reconstruction.
  • Collaborate directly with waterfront teams to improve data collection methods for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Mine Warfare (MIREM) programs.

What You'll Need

  • Active or Interim DoD SECRET Security Clearance (Mandatory).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, scripting, or operational analysis within a DoD or Navy environment.
  • Mastery of Python and Microsoft SQL for data processing, query analysis, and database management.
  • Experience with Navy Flankspeed, Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, or IL6 Azure Privileged Access is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or GSEC (IAT Level II compliance) are a major plus.
