Systems Administrator

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Provide comprehensive support for the management, operations, and maintenance of server, network, and database environments.

• Ensure continuous assurance of successful day-to-day operations and viability of the systems according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Monitor and coordinate synchronization between production and failover environments, potentially requiring occasional travel.

• Maintain infrastructure through the application of critical and recommended patches and upgrades.

• Prepare and document operational procedures and ensure their execution.

• Coordinate on-site resources for new hardware/software installations and may perform repairs, potentially requiring travel to customer sites.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of three years' hands-on experience with web-based server systems, Linux/Unix operating systems, virtualization, and network connectivity troubleshooting.

• Proven ability to analyze and tune server availability and performance issues.

• Experience in creating documentation for data center management, disaster recovery, and off-site backup storage.

• Familiarity with enterprise-level systems deployments and data center operations.

• Experience with NIST 800-53 security requirements, STIG settings, vulnerability scanning tools, and audit activities.
