Director, Software Engineering

We're working with a leading automotive technology powerhouse that is reimagining the vehicle commerce ecosystem on this exciting opportunity.

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will spearhead the technical evolution of enterprise-scale inventory management and rebate services. You will lead high-performing, geographically dispersed teams through a massive cloud modernization journey, transitioning legacy systems into a high-scale Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

The Role

• Lead and mentor multiple distributed scrum teams delivering Incentives, Rebate Services, and inventory optimization software.

• Drive engineering excellence by ensuring architectural alignment and operational rigor across both cloud-native and on-prem platforms.

• Partner with senior product and architecture leadership to execute a high-impact roadmap for the Dealer Solutions portfolio.

• Oversee strategic resource planning, budgeting, and talent development to scale a world-class engineering culture.

• Bridge technical strategy with business outcomes, managing risks and program execution for complex, fast-paced product releases.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven track record of leading large-scale software modernization projects from Monolith to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

• Deep technical expertise in Cloud computing (AWS/Azure), Modern Architecture, and high-availability distributed systems.

• Experience managing global teams across multiple international time zones in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

• Strong background in stakeholder management; experience working with Automotive OEMs is a significant plus.
