Data Analyst
Role summary
The Data Analyst will be responsible for reporting development, data validation, and analytics infrastructure to support the Commercial Performance function. This role is key to ensuring scalable and accurate reporting, enabling senior resources to focus on strategic initiatives like pricing, performance optimization, and growth. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, managing data quality across various systems, supporting data models, and assisting with ad hoc analysis and executive reporting.
### Role Summary
The Data Analyst will support the Commercial Performance function by owning reporting development, data validation, and analytics infrastructure across the organization. This role is critical in enabling scalable, accurate reporting while freeing up senior resources to focus on pricing strategy, performance optimization, and growth initiatives.
### Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards supporting Sales, Operations, and Finance
- Own recurring reporting outputs (e.g., Weekly Sales Flash, business unit performance reporting)
- Ensure consistency and standardization of KPIs and definitions across business units
Data Management & Validation
- Monitor data quality across systems (e.g., OneCrew, CRM, financial systems)
- Maintain and enhance exception reporting (e.g., missing costs, pricing discrepancies)
- Partner with business units to identify and resolve data gaps
Data Modeling & Infrastructure
- Support development and maintenance of core data models (sales, backlog, pipeline, job costing)
- Assist with data integration efforts across multiple systems
- Troubleshoot data refreshes, connections, and ETL-related issues
Ad Hoc Analysis & Support
- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from Sales, Operations, and Finance
- Assist in preparing datasets and analysis for executive reporting and presentations
### Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role
- Strong experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
- Experience working with multiple data sources (CRM, ERP, operational systems)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to translate business needs into structured data and reporting solutions
### Preferred Experience
- Experience in construction, field services, or project-based businesses
- Familiarity with job costing, revenue tracking, or sales pipeline analytics
- Exposure to SQL and data warehousing concepts
