ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a talented RF Software Engineer to design and develop software solutions for embedded RF systems. In this role you will develop, implement and test RF and DSP algorithms to help develop ground breaking, high performance products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain software for RF signal processing on embedded platforms using C/C++
- Write low-level drivers and firmware code for RF synthesizers, attenuators, amplifiers or ADCs
- Develop algorithms for RF signal processing, RF characteristics, fingerprinting and distance estimation and more
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, whether they be in software or hardware, using debuggers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- MSc degree in Electronics Engineering, CS/CE, Telecommunications or a related field. Experience can make up for lack of formal education.
- Excellent programming skills, including proficiency in C or C++
- Excellent debugging and problem analysis skills
- Solid understanding of digital signal processing, sampling, FFT based spectrum analysis, and digital filters.
- Knowledge of RF principles including modulation, noise figures, distortion and cascade analysis

Prior work on test and measurement instruments, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers or waveform generators

Understanding of Rf modulation schemes (QAM, PSK, OFDM, etc.)

Hands-on experience with SDRs or RF design

Experience with design and implementation of digital filters

Experience with programming in assembly

Experience with version control, issue tracking, CI/CD and other necessary tools
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
