HEKA is seeking Embedded Software Engineers to join their engineering teams focused on advanced aerospace, defense, and embedded systems. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded and systems-level software, collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Responsibilities include contributing to critical software stacks and supporting rapid development cycles. The position requires strong C/C++, C#, and Python development experience, an understanding of engineering processes, and a preference for experience in embedded C/C++, RTOS, low-level systems, and software architecture. This is an on-site role in Melbourne, Florida.

Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded and systems-level software
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers in a tightly integrated development environment
Contribute to avionics, control, and mission-critical software stacks
Support rapid development cycles, prototyping, testing, and iteration
Take ownership of technical decisions and deliverables

Desired Skills & Experience
Required

Software development Experience with C/C++, C#, Python
Understanding of Engineering Process

Strongly Preferred

Embedded C/C++, RTOS, low-level systems
Ability to architect software systems
Strong software fundamentals and engineering discipline

Nice to Have

Avionics or aerospace systems experience
Control systems, guidance, or GNC exposure
Desktop software development
