
Senior Logistics Manager (Transport Planning)
Role summary
The Senior Logistics Transport Manager will oversee the entire transport function, including P&L, service performance, and network strategy. This role involves managing final mile, middle mile, inter-site transfers, and supplier inbound collections to reduce costs and enhance service, efficiency, and customer experience. Key responsibilities include P&L ownership, transport network design and optimization, middle mile haulage strategy, carrier contract management, and TMS/YMS platform ownership. The role also requires planning various delivery routes, coordinating stock movements, and managing inbound/outbound collections. Strong UK road network knowledge and people leadership experience are essential. A CPC qualification is required.
About The Team:
The Senior Logistics Transport Manager has end-to-end responsibility for the transport function, owning the overall P&L, service performance, and strategic design of the transport network. Covering final mile, middle mile, inter-site transfers, and supplier inbound collections, this role is accountable for reducing total transport cost while improving service, efficiency, and customer experience.
This is a senior leadership role combining strategy, network design, commercial management, and hands-on operational management , with responsibility for people, partners, and systems (TMS/YMS)
