Role Overview

Come join a team that is creating a volunteer platform to support the Helpful community. This platform will be the foundation for the registration of new volunteers, registration of new projects, connecting volunteers with projects, and providing self-service access to data and tooling. Preliminary user research and prototyping has been completed and the team is ready to start building the user-facing application based on the designs developed by UX.

We are looking for a skilled Sr. frontend engineer who can help develop a responsive web application that consumes our GraphQL API and delivers an intuitive, accessible experience for volunteers and project coordinators. We will be using React or a similar modern framework, TypeScript for type safety, and following component-based architecture best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively in an Agile/Kanban environment.
  • Develop software following DDD + BDD practices
  • Version Control
  • API integration
  • Design-to-Code Translation (Figma)
  • Code Review

What You’ll Bring

  • - 5+ years of software development experience
  • - Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
  • - (Bonus) experience with GraphQL
  • - (Bonus) knowledge of AI
