The Opportunity

Highspring is supporting a strategic initiative to migrate an enterprise MicroStrategy platform from on‑premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. We are seeking a
MicroStrategy Subject Matter Expert (SME)
to play a key leadership role in this transformation. This role combines deep technical expertise with architectural design, cloud migration execution, and advisory responsibilities across analytics, data platforms, and cloud services.

What You'll Do

Migration Leadership

• Lead the end‑to‑end migration of a MicroStrategy environment from on‑premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.
• Assess the existing MicroStrategy architecture, including Intelligence Server, Web Server, Mobile Server, Library, and metadata repositories.
• Design and implement a scalable, cloud‑ready MicroStrategy architecture aligned with enterprise standards.
• Ensure successful migration of metadata, reports, dashboards, and security configurations.

Architecture & Implementation

• Design Azure‑based analytics architecture leveraging services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Active Directory.
• Configure and optimize MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, Web, Mobile, and Library components in the cloud.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization strategies within Azure.

Administration & Operations

• Administer MicroStrategy servers, clusters, and repositories in an Azure environment.
• Define and enforce governance, role‑based access controls, and metadata management best practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing using MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.

Integration & Automation

• Develop automated deployment and operational workflows using MicroStrategy Command Manager, System Manager, and Azure DevOps.
• Enable REST API and SDK‑based integrations to support custom extensions and enterprise system connectivity.
• Support seamless integration with enterprise platforms and services.

Cloudera on Azure

• Deploy and manage Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) through the Azure Marketplace.
• Integrate MicroStrategy with Cloudera for advanced analytics, data engineering, and machine learning use cases.
• Optimize data pipelines between Cloudera, Azure Data Lake, and MicroStrategy to support high‑performance BI workloads.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Act as a trusted SME, providing guidance and best practices to technical and business stakeholders.
• Lead workshops and knowledge‑sharing sessions on MicroStrategy and cloud analytics.
• Produce clear documentation covering migration strategy, architecture decisions, and operational runbooks.

What You Bring to the Table

• Extensive experience designing, administering, and supporting enterprise BI platforms.
• Strong hands‑on leadership in cloud migration initiatives.

Core Skills Required

• 5+ years of experience with MicroStrategy architecture, administration, and development.
• Proven experience migrating MicroStrategy from on‑premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise with Azure services, including Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Azure Active Directory, networking, and monitoring.
• In‑depth knowledge of MicroStrategy components such as Intelligence Server, Web, Library, Developer, Workstation, and Mobile.
• Hands‑on experience with MicroStrategy Enterprise Manager, Command Manager, and System Manager.
• Experience deploying and managing Cloudera Data Platform on Azure.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization skills in both on‑prem and cloud environments.

Vos responsabilités

Migration

• Piloter la migration de bout en bout d'un environnement MicroStrategy on‑premises vers Microsoft Azure.
• Évaluer l'architecture existante (Intelligence Server, Web Server, Mobile Server, Library, référentiels de métadonnées).
• Concevoir une architecture MicroStrategy évolutive et adaptée au cloud.
• Assurer la migration des métadonnées, rapports, tableaux de bord et paramètres de sécurité.

Architecture et implémentation

• Concevoir une architecture analytique sur Azure en s'appuyant sur Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage et Azure Active Directory.
• Configurer et optimiser les composants MicroStrategy dans le cloud.
• Mettre en place des stratégies de haute disponibilité, de reprise après sinistre et d'optimisation des performances.

Administration et opérations

• Administrer les serveurs, clusters et référentiels MicroStrategy dans Azure.
• Définir et appliquer les bonnes pratiques de gouvernance, de gestion des accès et des métadonnées.
• Mettre en œuvre la surveillance et l'audit via Enterprise Manager, Azure Monitor et Log Analytics.

Intégration et automatisation

• Développer des processus automatisés de déploiement et d'exploitation à l'aide de Command Manager, System Manager et Azure DevOps.
• Activer les intégrations via REST API et SDK pour des extensions personnalisées.
• Assurer l'intégration avec les outils et plateformes d'entreprise.

Cloudera sur Azure

• Déployer et administrer Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) via Azure Marketplace.
• Intégrer MicroStrategy avec Cloudera pour l'ingénierie de données, l'analytique avancée et le machine learning.
• Optimiser les flux de données entre Cloudera, Azure Data Lake et MicroStrategy.

Collaboration et leadership
