About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Data Transformation Specialist with expertise in Azure Fabric and hybrid cloud solutions to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in leading large-scale data transformation initiatives across our healthcare, higher education, and insurance verticals. The successful candidate will work closely with our in-house core team to implement Azure Fabric, develop a data lakehouse architecture, and optimize data processing workflows. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant digital transformation project that aims to enhance data accessibility, security, and analytics capabilities within our organization. The role requires a primarily hands-on approach, with an expectation of collaborating effectively in a hybrid work environment, including two days per week onsite at our new office in Fort Washington.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in healthcare data transformation projects or similar large-scale data initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing and manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL packages and data pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and version control practices.
  • Deep understanding of Azure Fabric, data lakehouse architectures, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and technological advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data transformation processes utilizing Azure Fabric and related technologies.
  • Build and maintain a robust data lakehouse architecture to centralize and secure organizational data assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define data strategies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and optimize ETL workflows, leveraging Python, PySpark, and SQL to ensure efficient data processing.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to facilitate continuous integration and deployment of data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation of data pipelines and architectures.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve data transformation processes.
  • Support the onboarding and training of team members on new tools and methodologies.
